Quick summary
FácilPDF does not need to receive your PDFs for the main tools to work. Merging, splitting, reordering, rotating, compressing and scanning run locally in your browser.
- PDF files are not uploaded to a FácilPDF server.
- Processing happens in browser memory, the current tab or local browser storage depending on the tool.
- Closing or reloading the page usually clears the current workspace.
- Temporary local storage may be used to pass a generated PDF to another tool.
- Analytics, when explicitly enabled, only accepts generic events and never file names, content, pages, passwords or metadata.
Local processing
The file is opened and transformed with JavaScript inside your browser. Your own device reads pages, creates previews and generates the new PDF.
Optional analytics
FácilPDF includes a privacy-friendly analytics layer that remains disabled unless it is explicitly configured through public environment variables.
If enabled, it only accepts generic events such as tool opened, tool completed, generic error, PWA installed or offline ready. The analytics layer uses an allowlist and blocks file names, PDF content, extracted text, pages, passwords, titles, authors and metadata.
